The “Chef” part of Financial Chef dates back to 1982, when David completed his studies at the Culinary Institute of America, considered to be “the Harvard of Cooking Schools”. Since 1996, when David entered the financial services arena, he has applied the lessons from his previous career – exacting attention to detail and unparalleled service- to his clients as a financial advisor. In 2002 David earned the prestigious Certified Financial Planner® designation, and has also completed the Retirement Planning Program from the Wharton School of Business. In 2006, he formed Trusted Alliance LLC, his own wealth management firm, to provide independent objective advice. Still, he realized his passions weren’t mutually exclusive and in 2010, David rebranded Trusted Alliance as Financial Chef. His firm, at the main office located in downtown Coral Gables, offers a unique strategy for discussing financial matters – using the ambience of a meal and comfort of food to minimize the stress that comes when discussing wealth management. Financial Chef uses proprietary methods that help select which funds to invest in, when to invest in them and more importantly – when to get out of harm’s way to avoid large losses. Our firm specializes in working with retirement plan participants in creating alternatives to traditional “buy and hold” strategies.
